What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive treatment that emits red and near-infrared (NIR) light to target a user's skin and cellular structure. Kala Red Light uses LEDs to project Red and Near-Infrared (NIR) light wavelengths during sessions. These wavelengths are the beneficial aspects of natural sunlight but devoid of harmful UV rays or excessive heat. Scientific research has identified numerous therapeutic benefits associated with Red Light Therapy.
What are the benefits of Red & NIR Light Therapy?
Benefits can include: promotes healthy skin, increased collagen production, optimizes sleep and can improve cognitive performance. Enhances athletic performance & muscle recovery and can reduce inflammation. It can help boost energy levels and combat depression & anxiety. It can stimulate hair growth and can enhance weight loss.
NIR light stimulates cells to repair and regenerate, speeding up the healing of wounds, scars, and other skin damage. It helps reduce swelling and inflammation, making it helpful for conditions like arthritis, muscle soreness, or other chronic pain. By boosting blood flow, NIR light helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, promoting overall skin health and vitality. It encourages the production of collagen, which helps improve skin elasticity, making it firmer and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. NIR light reaches deeper layers of the skin and tissues, making it effective for treating deeper concerns like muscle tension or joint pain.
What is Blue Light Therapy? What are the benefits?
Blue light is a type of light with a shorter wavelength that is commonly used in skincare, especially for acne treatment. Blue light targets and destroys the bacteria that cause acne, helping to reduce breakouts. It helps calm the redness and swelling associated with active acne. By reducing excess oil production, blue light can help prevent the clogged pores that lead to acne. In short, blue light helps clear up acne, reduces inflammation, and keeps your skin looking clearer.
Does it hurt? Is there downtime?
There is no pain. You may feel warmth during your session. While some prefer to use goggles for the full body treatment, there are many recent studies that suggest red light therapy is very healthy for the eyes and will help slow down the ageing of eyes and improve eyesight. We do not suggest looking directly into the light, especially if you suffer from sensitivity to light.
How many sessions does it take to see the results?
Some people may start to notice improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require several weeks or months of consistent therapy.
